DESCRIPTION:What is this?\nThe Riding Solo Series is a low-key socially-distanced XC mountain bike stage race held over 4 weeks\, this October and November\, in Bend\, OR.  It’s pretty simple and pretty dang close to a typical XC mountain bike race. \nHow does it work?\n\nYou can enter any of the races\, or all of them.\nThe series consists of stage races. Each week will produce a podium (by age group and category). In the spirit of the Tour de France\, overall leaders (by category) will be awarded yellow arm warmers to wear while riding as they maintain their lead in their respective category.\nYou’re racing against other riders\, just not necessarily at the same time.\nFor each race\, you’re welcome to do as many attempts as you’d like during the race window.  Each race window will start at 12:01 am PDT on Sunday and end at 11:59 pm on the following Saturday (7 days).\nLoad each race course onto your device by downloading it from the race web page.\nWherever you start on the course is your start/finish line. So you don’t need to start your activity tracker when you start your effort. Just roll on into the course.  As soon as you are on-course\, that’s your start line\, and your finish line.\nTrack your race attempts using your GPS-enabled activity tracker or smartphone.\nSync efforts either by exporting a GPX file from your activity tracker or smartphone. You can also automatically sync using your Strava account.\nYou must follow the published course closely. All you need is yourself\, your bike\, a GPS device\, and some speed! \nIt’s FREE to enter this race but there is a $10 option if you want the race hat/bandana! \n  \nRider Virtual “Registration”\nSince we won’t be able to meet in person for a Q&A we’ve set up a couple Zoom Rider registration meetings that will happen! SUMMARY:Sedona Bike Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Sedona Mountain Bike Festival is a three-day mountain bike celebration that includes a main Expo/festival\, bike demos\, shuttled rides\, gear vendors\, a beer garden\, great bands\, food trucks\, skills clinics and a whole lotta sweet RED SINGLETRACK! With over 90 vendors there are more demo bikes and more to do than any other bike demo out there. We are working to make the 2020 Sedona Mountain Bike Festival bigger and better than last year. While the core of the event and the vibe will remain the same we do have some tricks up our sleeve for this year. Check back for exciting announcements as we get them. \nThe mountain biking in Sedona is world class. Sedona has over 200 miles of killer singletrack and is a media darling having appeared in magazines countless times in the last few years. Simply put: it’s a bucket list destination and this might just be the best way to come see for yourself. \nWhen is it? \nThe Sedona Mountain Bike Festival is March 6th – 8th\, 2020. This is a great time for Festival-Goers to shake off their winter rust and SHRED THE RED! \nWonderful Sedona\, AZ\nThe trail system within the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest around Sedona\, AZ is one of the most special resources you’ll find anywhere. This is a trail system shared with hikers and equestrians\, and our goal with this festival is to celebrate it appropriately: respect the resource\, respect other trail users and generally leave a great impression of the mountain bike community which means NOT leaving our physical impression!!
